RanDrum
Think of it as a kind of “Randomise” button that some synthesisers have. They set all the various patch parameters to random values. This simple tool can often lead to moments of inspiration.
The basic idea is that since SampleSort knows which samples are drum samples and also knows what kind of drum sample is in a particular file, it can help you build a drum kit from your samples.
Each time you hit the “Build Kit” button SampleSort picks a random set of samples and inserts them into the available slots for auditioning. You then mark the samples to keep and hit build again, repeating the process until you have your kit.
Then export the kit samples for use in your productions.
